Leather Care Guide
Your Eli & Kai leather journal is built to last a lifetime. To preserve its natural beauty:
1. Handling
- Avoid contact with water, oils, lotions, perfumes, and inks.
- If the leather becomes wet, blot with a soft dry cloth and let it air-dry naturally. Do not apply heat.
2. Conditioning
- Apply a neutral leather conditioner or balm every 6–12 months to keep leather supple.
- Always test products on a discreet area first.
3. Storage
- Store in your cotton slipcover when not in use.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
4. Natural Patina
- Vegetable-tanned leather naturally darkens, softens, and develops a patina over time.
- Marks, tonal changes, and grain variations are part of authentic leather and not faults.
Proper care ensures your journal ages beautifully and becomes uniquely yours.
