✨ The Story Behind Eli & Kai: A Founder’s Note

When I look back at how Eli & Kai was born, it didn’t begin with leather, paper, or even the idea of starting a new business. It began with a pen.

The Journaling Habit

For over ten years, journaling has been my constant practice. Every day, I wrote lists, schedules, and notes. It was how I created structure in the middle of raising children, building businesses, and balancing family life.

My brother used to tease me, saying I should just sit in coffee shops, journal, and live a simple life. While the coffee shops never appealed, the journaling part already lived deep within me. Those pages were where I planned, dreamt, and brought visions to life.

Turning Journaling Into a Brand

Through journaling, I built two successful accounting practices, navigated big life transitions, and eventually found myself in Abu Dhabi ready for a new chapter.

That chapter became Eli & Kai — a journaling brand that merges luxury craftsmanship with meaning.

Luxury With Meaning

Luxury for us is not about excess. It’s about intention:

• Knowing your journal has been ethically sourced.

• Knowing it has been made by hand, with patience.

• Knowing that we give back to communities.

As a Muslim, I also hold deeply to the belief that the pen has power. In our tradition, it is said that God began creation with the pen — writing down all that would come into existence. Writing is the first step to making something real.

The Vision

Eli & Kai was built on this belief: that what we write, we become.

It is my hope that when you open your journal, you don’t just see pages. You see a tool to design your life, clarify your thoughts, and bring your vision into existence.
